Edouard Sankowski's collections are elaborated with a strong emphasis on the notion of making use of materials that would usually and otherwise be considered waste and discarded.
In keeping with Edouard Sankowski's and Krzywda's ethos, the Block Lamp, and specifically it's base, was conceived of with an ad-hoc configuration giving a new life to off-cuts from the production runs of other items designed and created in house.
The char and shaping of the oak block on each piece in the series is unique and done by hand. The Alabaster Diffuser will present definite and unique characteristics as fragmentation happens with a form of "controlled" randomness.
This overall process produces a result that will vary slightly from piece to piece in shape and color, and items will differ slightly from the image.
