EG-10 Edge Occasional Table

EG-10 Edge Occasional Table

Designed by Edouard Sankowski.

The Edge Occasional is developed with the thought of joining the randomness of the stacks with a certain rigour of greco-roman style in its column base.

Edouard Sankowski's collections are elaborated with a strong emphasis on the notion of making use of materials that would usually and otherwise be considered waste and discarded.

In keeping with this process the odd-shaped sculpted stone stacks which are central to the design are composed of rough offcuts.

He individually selects these roughs (marble or granite blocks and slabs) from French quarries and trusted yards that have been active for over 1000 years. Versailles and the Sacré-Cœur are among esteemed structures that were built thanks to these "Royal Quarries".

This overall process produces a result that will vary from piece to piece in shape, color and weight, and items will differ slightly from the image.

Method individually handmade in France by Krzywda.

Of Marble and Brass or Steel.

Versions variable.

Each corner and Leg base is sculpted by hand and varies from piece to piece in shape, color and weight. Each top is contoured according to its base.
