Dumb Head Sculpture
Edouard Sankowski individually sculpts these pieces from plaster, cement (shown here), alabaster he selects, and brass accents and contrasts…
The Dumb heads are a series that have come out of a number of drawings, or scribblings Edouard had been making in an attempt to capture and define an air of dumbfoundedness, or daze.
Believing he’d circled and defined what he was after, he thought these would be both more challenging and more fun to execute as sculptures than remain simple line drawings on paper.
Method individually handmade in France by the artist.
Of Brass and Plaster, Cement or Alabaster.
