AR-01 Armchair
Designed by Edouard Sankowski.
The AR-01 Armchair was first sketched out when Edouard was 16 years old. Since then, the piece has seen several engineering revisions and iterations before reaching this simplified version. Only time and experience have allowed Edouard to bring this piece to maturity and boil it down from its earlier versions to what it is now.
Despite the tight tolerances required in the design of the piece, primarily due to the bending involved, much of the work undertaken is by hand.
Shaping of the Oak Paddle back on each piece as well as the welding and assembly, and the patinating of the Stainless Steel are done by hand. Consequently, items will present slight variations from piece to piece and differ from the image.
Method individually handmade in France by Krzywda.
