APL Fruit Sculpture
Edouard Sankowski individually sculpts these pieces with Alabaster he selects. Brass stem on Alabaster Core.
His wife and Edouard had been apple picking together, when she found one so beautiful she knew she could only admire it, and it would never be destined to be consumed. Put on display in their home to admire its perfection, they both understood the fruit would eventually wither.
The very first Alabaster fruit Edouard made was this apple for his wife's birthday. An exact duplicate of the fruit she couldn't come to terms with enjoying with more than just her eyes, the fruit lives forever in their home.
Method individually handmade in France by the artist.
